Day started off well enough except for weed. Joes first run badly affected and mine also. He’s 2nd run went well up until lap 6 I believe and then he decided the Zoo Jetty reeds would be a good place to be.

A pleasant day greeted two skippers for racing. As mentioned in the previous set of results, Joe continues to show he has quickly grasped fast electric boat racing and fell just one lap short of Jeff over the two races.

Just two skippers for today's racing with the weather being generally kind. As predicted, the newly joined young fellow, Joe, has quickly grasped the concepts of fast electric boat racing and is starting to show how it's done.

Just two skippers for today's racing which saw a new competitor at the club. Welcome to Joe Wheaton who as a young teenager showed lots of potential during the three races. Despite Joe impaling one of the buoys and Jeff acting as the weed gatherer during the morning, a good time was had by both skippers.

Three skippers on the water today with Ken taking 1st place from Jeff by just 1 point with Fred rounding out the podium placings.

Only one competitor today who ran his 4 heats after spending 1.5 hrs in the dinghy steering to floating tyres and then sinking them. Around 34 were sunk today, but while on the water, more were seen to bob to the surface, three within a one square metre in the space of 30 seconds. As the dinghy battery was almost flat by that stage, Toby saved the last bit of power to limp back to shore. Running the course as fast electric was more akin to high speed scale steering, having to go extremely wide along the back straight to avoid drifting tyres.

It looks like this tyre problem is going to be around for some time.
