A pleasant day at the lake with a promising SW breeze greeted six sailors for today's IOM meet. Over the afternoon some close racing resulted with everyone getting at least one 1st across the line as handicaps kicked in across the fleet. As the racing progressed, the breeze decided to drop off at times and a few holes around the course eventuated. Those who held the breeze faired the best. With Guy back on the water for the first time this year, a tied result ended up for the top two places with Ken taking 1st place on count back. If a regular six boats each week can be achieved, a good season will eventuate.

With a very hot day five skippers turned up for the start of the IOM class. The breeze was looking promising before the first race. Brian had problems in the 1st race as with Trevor in the 3rd giving them a DNF. At the break with the breeze dropping we decided to shorten the course to get two more races in making the event count for the day. A slow but hopefully a good start for the year.
