We had 3 skippers on Sunday with Joe unable to make it, Andre was there with a rather large ship he tried out in the water, went very well Jeff said but a bit long for the course. Jeff lent him the American speed boat to use. Alan did what most have and left his controller home, Jeff had a tugboat (Bess) that he just finished rebuilding and with Alan sorting the ballast out and it went very well with Alan 1st Andre 2nd and Jeff coming 3rd. But they had Fun

Great morning a bit chilly but we had 5 contestants one of whom had never driven a boat before. The new guys Peter and Yves are keen to return so good for Scale.

A good days competition with three boats and eager skippers vying to take the honours on a brisk Spring morning. In the end, some skillful navigation and steering by Alan saw him take 1st place with Jeff and Joe following for the podium.

A mixed day weather wise with sunshine one minute then rain and wind the next. Just two competitors braved the conditions, the others deciding that indoors was a better option. With access to the paddock still restricted due to water logged conditions, boats and gear had to be carried from the secondary car parking area. Just three points separated Jeff and Alan at the end of the day.

Four skippers competed in very wet and blustery conditions. Young Joe (who left his glasses behind and suffered for it), Mal who is learning very fast, Alan and Jeff who says he expects to be relegated to last in the near future due to the stiff competition now present. There was at least one aborted start because of rain and in the end, only managed doing the one event as the rain was so bad. All had fun on the day though despite the drenching rain and equal 1st place was shared by Alan and Jeff. A shout out to Ken and Wayne for the newly painted buoys that have been installed for the course.

Four skippers turned up for the start of scale steering today including a new competitor, Alan 'Moby' Stuart. Unfortunately after one round, Fred had to withdraw and the remaining skippers fought out a tight result for the podium places. Well done to Alan, with Moby just behind and Jeff following a close third at the end of the competition.

This will be the last time we see Fred competing or scoring as he has taken up another adventure with the Hotham Valley Railway group which will see him otherwise committed on weekends. Thanks and much appreciation is extended to Fred by all the RSMBC members for his untiring time and participation he has given to the club over many years.

Unfortunately just one competitor for today's event. Still a shortened course as the touch buoys have yet to be relaid.
